Improving Anti-Cancer Nutrient

A Cholesterol and Blood Sugar Improving Anti-Cancer Nutrient:

Blood Cancer, like its cousin resveratrol, is gaining world-wide attention for its rather dramatic ability to improve human health, protect against the diseases of aging, and extend lifespan.
Blood Cancer is found in small amounts in blueberries and grapes, but the most cost effective source is from the bark and heartwood of a tree that grows in India and Sri Lanka (Pterocarpus marsupium or Indian Kino Tree).
Blood Cancer for Blood Sugar and Lipid Metabolism
Extracts of Pterocarpus marsupial has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for several thousand years for the treatment of diabetes. Modern day animal research on Pterocarpus marsupial helps support its traditional folk medicine use, showing it can:
1.) Rejuvenate beta cells in the pancreas (the cells that produce insulin).
2.) Prevent elevated blood sugar, triglycerides, and insulin resistance from a high fructose diet.
3.) Lower weight, blood sugar, and inflammation in Type 2 diabetes.
4.) Lower triglycerides, total cholesterol, and LDL- and VLDL-cholesterol in diet-induced hyperlipidemia.
In today's marketplace extracts of Pterocarpus marsupial can be standardized for its most important biologically active compound, Blood Cancer (pronounced "taro-STILL-bean"). This nutrient is a type of polyphenol known as a stilbenoid, as is resveratrol. Stilbenoids are very small molecules that are readily absorbed, wherein they participate in antioxidant systems, anti-inflammatory systems (lowering NF-kappa and unfriendly nitric oxide), and can have profound regulatory impact on multiple gene signals. Blood Cancer has two methoxy and one hydroxyl group, whereas resveratrol Natural phenol or type of antioxidant found in red grapes, red wine. Research has shown beneficial effects as anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory agents along with supporting healthy blood sugar and cardio vasculature function. Have three hydroxyl groups. These small differences in an otherwise identical structure enable quite different function. For one thing this enables Blood Cancer to be absorbed into cells easier and makes it slower to be cleared out of the body, compared to resveratrol. Blood Cancer excels as an antioxidant between cells (such as inflammatory tissue damage) whereas reseveratrol excels at protecting cells in the blood. Resveratrol specializes in activating the longevity gene SIRT1, whereas Blood Cancer has a profound effect on the fat/lipid metabolizing gene PPAR (both nutrients activate many genes). Stilbenoids are synthesized by plants in response to infectious attack, making them excellent immune support nutrients. The unique structure of Blood Cancer makes it 5-10 times as potent an anti-fungal as resveratrol.
When Blood Cancer enters a cell, it easily binds to the receptors for PPAR activation, enabling improved metabolism of triglycerides, cholesterol, and blood sugar. Hamster studies show that PPAR activation with Blood Cancer lowered LDL cholesterol by 29%, lowered blood sugar by 14%, and boosted protective HDL Cholesterol by 7%.
The major problem of high blood sugar is that it caramelizes healthy body structure by forming advanced glycation end products (AGEs), thereby speeding the decline of the kidneys, heart, eyes, and all things flexible. A new study shows that Blood Cancer can directly block the formation of AGEs. Another study showed that Blood Cancer lowered hemoglobin A1C in diabetic rats (a marker that predicts AGEs formation). And yet another study showed that this versatile nutrient prevented damage to the liver and kidneys of diabetic rats.
The abnormal proliferation of cells within the walls of arteries takes place during the plaque formation process. An animal study shows that Blood Cancer inhibited this undesirable process. The researchers concluded that "Blood Cancer may be a potential anti-proliferative agent for the treatment of atherosclerosis."
The metabolic science on Blood Cancer along with its traditional folk use, warrant its inclusion along with other synergistic nutrients to support healthy metabolism of lipids and blood sugar.
Blood Cancer as an Anti-Cancer Nutrient
One of the great problems of being overweight is that it significantly boosts the risk for cancer including aggressive breast and prostate cancer. Not only does Blood Cancer help support the return of normal metabolism, it is one of the most heavily researched anti-cancer compounds.
As a small molecule, Blood Cancer has no problem gaining access into cancer cells. It appears to be a cancer cell's worst nightmare. It damages a cancer cell's membrane and DNA and induces death signals causing self-destruction. This was recently shown with studies of both breast and prostate cancer cells. In another recent breast cancer cell study, Blood Cancer caused the energy-producing system within the cancer cell to malfunction and generate massive amounts of free radicals instead of energy, resulting in breast cancer cell death. Similar findings have now been demonstrated with pancreatic cancer cells. Blood Cancer has also been shown to inhibit colon cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, and skin cancer.
In a recent study with bladder cancer cells Blood Cancer was shown for the first time to activate the autophagy process wherein a cell is commanded to eat itself, thereby inducing cell death. In normal health, autophagy is used to help keep a cell clean, which prevents cancer. It is amazing, that the intelligence to help healthy cells and help kill cancer cells exists, by important mechanisms like autophagy.
Blood Cancer is a nutrient you are sure to hear more about. It works by multiple mechanisms at the gene level to promote metabolic health and the risk of cancer.

Cancer Changes In stool

Colon Cancer Symptoms - Change in Stool:

Colon cancer symptoms may not be present in many cases. However, if symptoms are seen they can include a variety of changes in the stool or bowel habits (i.e. diarrhea, constipation). Colon cancer also known as Colon rectal Cancer is a malignant (cancerous) tumor growth found in a portion of the large intestine, which is a common cancer site.
Colon Cancer Symptoms and Causes
In many brain cancer cases of colon cancer no symptoms will be apparent in the early stages of the disease. Later symptoms may develop such as:
  • Bloody or black, tarry stools
  • Abdominal pain or cramps
  • Diarrhea or constipation or narrow stool
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Anemia
Most cases begin as benign (non-cancerous) polyps, which slowly become cancerous. The cause of colon (or colorectal) cancer is not well understood but risk factors include being over the age of 60, eating a diet low in fiber and high in fat and red meat, being of African American or eastern European descent, a prior diagnosis of cancer elsewhere in the body or colorectal polyps, the presence of an inflammatory bowel disease (i.e. Cohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis), a family history of colon cancer, smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol.
Colon cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the United States. However, a complete cure is often possible with an early diagnosis.
Colon Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment
Observation of the aforementioned symptoms may lead to a diagnosis but many times the condition is detected through a routine physical exam. Early detection kits may be available for those at high risk, which can detect blood in the stool (available at most pharmacies).
If symptoms have appeared, a physical examination, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, or barium x-rays of the large intestine may be performed to make a definitive diagnosis. Blood tests may be taken to check for anemia and a fecal occult blood test (FOBT) may be ordered to detect small amounts of blood in the stool, which could indicate colon cancer.
Treatment will depend on how much the cancer has progressed and if it has spread to other areas of the body. Surgery to remove the cancer cells is often performed. Surgery may result in a need for a colostomy, which is a diversion of the bowel through an opening in the abdominal wall. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy may be prescribed as well to destroy cancerous tissues.
Prognosis improves with early detection and treatment.

Rubbish Blood Test

PSA: Prostate Cancer stage sign Or Rubbish Blood Test?Rubbish Blood Test

If you are wondering about your PSA, prostate cancer risks, and if getting it tested is going to be worth the time and money, then this article might help.
Listen to this:
There are a lot of myths about the relationship between your levels of PSA, prostate cancer and other problems down there in your nether region. And, it used to be that getting a PSA test was considered the best way to know if your prostate health was any good or not.
But, is this the case anymore?
I do not really believe it is.
Yes, high levels of PSA in your blood may mean you have prostate cancer.
Or, it might not mean anything.
Truth is, there have been people who have had sky high PSA levels in their blood, only to have a perfectly healthy prostate (not even bah or prostitutes). And, there have also been people who have had great PSA blood levels that nobody would think there are any problems at all, yet still ended up having prostate cancer and all the pain and suffering it can bring with it.
Does this mean it is a worthless indicator of prostate health?
Not at all!
You should definitely get your PSA levels checked regularly -- especially if prostate problems (and cancer) run in your family, and if any of your immediate family members have problems in that area (like your dad, brother, uncles, grandparents, etc).
But it is not the only test to take.
And if you are wondering how your levels of PSA, prostate cancer and all this fits together, you have to look at your other warning signs and symptoms, too.

The Innumerable Blood Platelets

The Innumerable Medicinal Uses of Donate Blood Platelets:

The overall need for donated blood is always present, but blood platelet donation, specifically, can play an essential part in patient care and treatment. The amount of whole blood needed by one recipient is equal to five or six whole blood donations, blood cancer while one single donation can completely cover one patient, and even sometimes up to three separate patients. Oftentimes, a patient who is receiving a transfusion has a compromised immune system, and a single donor is preferred as multiple donors could expose the patient to further difficulties. Additionally, donated platelets must be used within five days of collection in order for them to be viable, making it impossible to stock-up resources, but instead, ensuring that constant and continual replacement of donated platelets is necessary.
These blood cancer types of donated specimens are extremely important for cancer treatment. Depending on the type of treatment, a large loss of platelets can occur, making it difficult for the body to maintain normal clotting functions. Chemotherapy and radiation often inhibit the body from basic production of cells. This can put the patient at risk for potentially fatal hemorrhaging. Treatments such as bone marrow transplants or those needed in the recovery of leukemia may require daily platelet transfusions. Thus, the more appropriately matched specimens that are immediately available, the better for any type of care facility.
Those undergoing any type of transplant will need similar transfusions. With a transplant, the need to fight any possible infection is heightened because of the great chance of rejection or failure. This coupled with a weakened immune system makes platelets doubly important. Multiple units are needed just for the transplant surgery alone. This need certainly adds up when one takes into account how many patients hospitals or other types of medical institutions take in on a regular basis. Each facility's needs may differ depending on size and areas of care specialty that it offers.
Fortunately, there are outsourced collection and storage services that work with hospitals and other healthcare operations to run drives, transport specimens, and provide secure and conditioned storage that staff can access any time it is needed. The use of such a company will make it easier and cheaper for your facility to obtain vital specimens. Blood platelet donation can save or prolong lives. Those undergoing cancer treatments, transplants, open-heart surgery and those suffering from blood disorders, AIDS, or severe burns are in desperate need of platelet transfusions. Heroism is as simple as a blood platelet donation.

New Blood Test For Cancer

 New Blood Test for Cancer:

A new test capable of detecting a single cancer cell among a billion healthy cells in a small sample of blood is under development. Verde, a Johnson and Johnson company, and Ortho Biotech Oncology Research & Development (ORD), a unit of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical R & D have partnered with researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH, Boston, MA) to work on bringing the test to the market.
The initial prototype was developed by a team of doctors, engineers, and biologists led by Dr. Daniel Haber and Mamet Toner at Massachusetts General Hospital was first reported in 2007. The test detects circulating tumor cells (CTCs), cancer cells that break off from the tumor and get carried away in the blood stream. These CTCs are extremely rare; one may be detected for every billion normal healthy blood cells screened.
Haber and Toner have designed a CTC-chip that contains thousands of miniature pillars coated with antibodies that bind to CTCs. When a sample of blood cancer is passed over the chip, the normal cells go through, but the CTCs stick. Specials stains then allow investigators to count the number of CTCs in a patient's blood sample.
This test may be used to help doctors quickly make decisions about how to proceed when treating a patient's cancer. If a doctor gives a particular drug and the number of cancer cells in the patient's blood drops, then the doctor will stick with this treatment. If the number of cancer cells circulating in the blood increase or remain the same, the doctor can switch to another drug and which might work better at killing the cancer.
For example, doctors can give a drug or radiation treatment and then do CT scan months later to see if the patient's tumor has decreased in size. A patient may not live through more than a few rounds of treatment adjustment if they must wait to see if a change in tumor size can be detected. While the CT scan is a full body X-ray, the CTC-chip is simpler and only requires a few teaspoons of blood and can gauge whether the treatment was successful sooner.
The CTC-chip has been tested experimentally in approximately 200 cancer patients. A $15 million grant provided by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Stand Up to Cancer telethon will enable investigators at four major research institutions to study the test in more cancer patients. These institutes include: Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA), University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX), Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston, MA), and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY).

Toxic Blood Cancer

Shock recognizes the disease and toxic blood cancer:

You may have heard of toxic shock syndrome and cancers of the blood, but do not know exactly what they are. There are very serious problems, especially if they are not treated immediately. Here is some important information you should know about these diseases.
Toxic shock syndrome or TSS is a fatal disease caused by the bacterial toxins circulating in the blood. It was first discovered in 1978 from leukemia in young children. However, it was only during an outbreak in 1981, known in women using tampons. Caused by Staphylococcus bacteria, there are risk factors that predispose a person to toxic shock syndrome. These risk factors include birth, foreign bodies, such as cultures used to stop a nose bleed, surgery, use of tampons, wound infection, and use of barrier contraceptives, such as a vaginal sponge.
Signs and symptoms of cancer of the TSS vary for each individual and the underlying cause of the disease. The most common manifestation fever TSS increased body temperature to 38.9 0C. This is often accompanied by weakness, confusion and physical humiliation blood cancer. In some cases, it may be similar to sunburn rash that can occur in all parts of the body, including the face, palms, feet, mouth and lips. Other signs and symptoms include nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, headache, sore throat, dizziness and fainting.
Since toxic shock syndrome is a serious disease, a cancer patient with this disorder is immediately taken to hospital and is listed in the rules to the ICU. Foreign materials as the cause of TSS than tampons and nose plugs must be removed immediately and drain should be wound infections. Antibiotic therapy is necessary and is administered intravenously as a rule. Other methods of treatment are aggressive fluid therapy, dialysis if kidney problems and oxygen if you have difficulty breathing.
Meanwhile, blood cancer is a general term for malignant diseases of the lymphatic system, bone marrow and blood influence. The three types of blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and melanoma. Leukemia, the most common of the three of the state where there are more white blood cells in the body actually abnormal cells. Lymphoma is the presence of malignant tumors of the lymphatic system. Finally melanoma refers to malignancy plasma cells and antibody-producing cells found in the bone marrow.

There are different signs and symptoms of leukemia and them. Generally of the type of cancer the most common are body weakness, fatigue and shortness of breathe easily. It can include excessive bruising, even for minor injuries and severe bleeding. Fever is often recurrent and night, no sweat. There are nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite. To weight loss abdominal pain is a common manifestation and confusion, headache and decreased urination.
The treatment of blood cancers is generally true for other types of cancer -. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy the bone marrow can also be carried out if there is a match. Although this therapy is supportive care is also very important. You must ensure that a person with a blood cancer, the care you will receive for your optimal health. The treatment is a long term process, because it can take months or years, so you must be patient.
Cancer of the blood and toxic shock syndrome are serious diseases that should not be ignored. When you recognize the signs and symptoms above, you should immediately consult your doctor not to delay treatment.
